With over 38 years of experience in the Indian pharmaceutical sector, Sanjeev Jain has adeptly managed various facets of the CDMO business, including sales, marketing, business development, and risk management. His strategic vision has been pivotal in Akums' expansion, both domestically and internationally.
Under his leadership, Akums has achieved significant milestones, such as securing the 487 spot in Fortune 500 India 2023-24 reflecting the company's dedication to pharmaceutical excellence. His innovative approach to new product development has positioned Akums as a recognized leader in contract manufacturing.

Mr. Sandeep Jain is the Co-founder and Managing Director of Akums Drugs & Pharmaceuticals Limited, India’s leading pharmaceutical contract manufacturing company. A pioneering entrepreneur, he oversees the operations of Akums' group fifteen state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities.
Under his visionary and dynamic leadership, Akums has achieved remarkable milestones and set benchmarks in manufacturing and innovation.
With over 38 years of extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Mr. Jain has been instrumental in establishing world-class manufacturing units, making Contract Research and Manufacturing Services (CRAMS) integral to the pharmaceutical industry in India.
A first-generation entrepreneur, Mr. Jain has received numerous accolades for his contributions, including the Gold Medal for Management Order of Merit, IDMA Quality Excellence Award, Samaj Shri Award for Excellence in Management, Most Admired Quality Pharmaceutical Manufacturer of India, and the National Award by the Government of India. Mr. Sunil Thakur
Non Executive Director
Sunil Kumar Thakur is a Non-Executive Director of our company, He holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Thames Valley University and a master's degree in International Business from the University of Delhi.
Currently, he is a partner at Quadria Capital Advisors Private Limited, where he oversees investments, portfolio management, and divestment activities across South Asia. With over 21 years of expertise in private equity and investment banking across South and Southeast Asia, he has successfully led multiple award-winning deals in M&A, capital markets, and project finance. He is a co-founder of HealthQuad, India’s largest digital health venture capital fund, and serves on the boards of leading healthcare and pharmaceutical companies. Additionally, he acts as an advisor to prominent institutions in the healthcare industry.
Mr. Thakur is the founding director and national lead of the NATHealth Foundation, a subsidiary of NATHEALTH, India’s apex healthcare industry body. Previously, he served as Treasurer of NATHEALTH and is a member of the CII National Committee on Biotechnology and Pharmaceuticals.

Mr. Kewal Handa
